About ME
After about 15 years of a psychotherapy and psychological testing private practice I became interested in focusing more on families going through divorce. Over time, I trained to become a divorce mediator, a Parental Responsibility Evaluation, a certified divorce coach, and a collaborative divorce facilitator. While I still have psychotherapy clients that I work with, I particulary enjoy divorce coaching and working in the collaborative divorce facilitator role.
As I came to learn about the cottage industry of professionals that support and guide people through healthy divorces I was heartened and intrigued and decided to join the positive wave. There are so many frightening and negative stories that we all hear about divorce. As difficult as divorce is, it does not need to be made more strenuous because of poorly thought out decisions and emotional warring. Clear and decent communication are critical components in the path to the healthiest possible divorces. My backgrounds in psychology, communication (through journalism and psychology) and coaching (helping people focus on the present and the future in order to make good decisions and track their movement forward) blend well to help clients gain insight, understand what might get in their way of setting up the healthiest divorce they can, side-step such obstacles, and communicate cleanly and clearly as they move forward in and past their divorce process.
