About ME
Deb Daufeldt is a Licensed Professional Counselor and relationship/career/divorce coach. Her educational background includes an MBA in Organizational Management and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
The process of divorce is an emotional roller coaster ride. Deb provides tailored, effective, and pragmatic counseling and coaching support for individuals and couples before, during, and post-divorce who are struggling with relationship, communication, and parenting challenges. Divorce coaching is a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to motivate, support, and guide people going through the dissolution of their marriage. This assistance helps both parties make the best possible decisions for their (and their children’s) futures, while taking into consideration the parties’ particular needs, interests, and concerns.
Prior to obtaining counseling and coaching credentials, Deb enjoyed decades of work as a change management consultant, trainer, mentor, and coach to help and empower clients in finding solutions to their personal, professional, and organizational needs. Combining her diverse skill set in a solution-focused and effective manner, she assists couples in moving smoothly through the divorce process.
As a Level II+ Trained Collaborative Divorce Facilitator, Deb brings together her considerable project management and organizational background with relationship counseling and communication skills. In this role, Deb effectually and efficiently structures and supports the collaborative divorce process on behalf of the team and the divorcing couple.
She is an active member of several professional associations including: the American Counseling Association; the National Board for Certified Counselors; the Colorado Counseling Association; the Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals; the Rocky Mountain Collaborative Law Professionals; and the South Metro Collaborative Professionals Group.
As an adjunct professor at the University of Denver, Deb designed and teaches the Team Interventions course in the graduate program both in-classroom as well as online. As a lifelong learner, some of her additional training and certifications include: Collaborative Divorce; Crucial Conversations; iLoveFeedback; Project Management Professional; Gottman Method of Couples Therapy; and Michele Weiner-Davis’ Divorce Busting for Professionals.
When not sharpening her counseling and coaching skills, you’ll find Deb satisfying an incurable addiction to the game of golf or floating down powdery ski runs in the majestic Rocky Mountains.
