About ME
Who We Are
Mindful Alignment Consulting is a two-partner practice providing early expert support in family law matters involving children, education, behavior, mental health, and parenting arrangements. With over 30 years of combined experience across education, clinical practice, and systems leadership, we partner with family law attorneys at the outset of cases to support clear documentation, reduce conflict, and strengthen outcomes for children.
Our Role in Family Law Matters
We assist attorneys and families by providing objective, evidence-based insight that informs legal strategy, supports affidavits, and strengthens parenting plans before positions harden. Our involvement helps translate a child’s developmental, educational, and behavioral needs into practical, child-centered recommendations that are both realistic and defensible.
Parenting Plans & Child-Focused Structure
We support the development and refinement of parenting plans that reflect a child’s best interests and day-to-day realities. Our work commonly includes:
Age-appropriate parenting time and transition schedules
Educational decision-making and school stability considerations
Behavioral and mental health supports across households
Communication structures that reduce conflict and ambiguity
Alignment of routines, expectations, and support services
By grounding parenting plans in developmental and clinical insight, we help attorneys reduce future disputes and create plans that courts view as thoughtful, child-specific, and workable.
Education & School Placement Expertise
Our educational partner brings over 18 years of experience in Denver-area schools, including early childhood and elementary education, alternative programs, and extensive work with students with special needs. We provide research-backed comparisons across public, private, charter, and specialized programs, and document how proposed placements support—or undermine—a child’s learning profile, developmental needs, and stability.
Clinical & Systems Leadership Expertise
Our clinical partner is a licensed clinical professional with 15+ years of leadership experience developing trauma-informed, equity-driven programs across mental health, reentry, and educational systems. Grounded in cultural humility, clinical supervision, and policy advocacy, this work strengthens the behavioral health foundation of parenting plans and supports system-involved and justice-impacted families.
